NAIFA’s Commitment to Advancing Diversity and Inclusion in Insurance and Financial Services

NAIFA created the Diversity Task Force to bring together enthusiastic members dedicated to empowering agents and companies with strategies to attract a diverse workforce that reflects the communities they serve.

Task Force Goals

To become the industry leader and key resource in diversity and diversity training
To create a more diverse membership that is reflective of the population   

Task Force Mission

To be the industry expert on diversity and inclusion by both having a diverse membership serving a diverse population and providing the tools and resources to work with specific people groups.

Work Groups

The Task Force has been divided into three work groups to accomplish our goals. The three groups are: Membership, Resources and Corporate Alliances. Each work group has their own mission/purpose and goals working towards the greater mission of the entire task force.

Membership Work Group

Purpose: To embrace diversity to grow and retain membership and to create a culture of inclusion and participation.

Diversity Resources

Purpose: To promote cultural awareness and develop understanding, tools and resources for various people groups, corporate and strategic partners, and educational materials for use both with advisors and consumers.

Corporate Alliances

Purpose: To grow relationships with corporate partners, with NAIFA serving as the springboard to identifying and strengthening relationships within the industry, as well as to provide tools for companies to use to recruit a diverse workforce.
