I’m trying to download a pub and a "Save as" box appears, then when I try to open the file, windows says "open with?"
This is a sign that you don’t have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer. This free utility is required to read many Internet documents, including our publications. Visit www.adobe.com to download Adobe Acrobat Reader.
I’ve clicked "download" but nothing happens.
This usually means that Adobe Acrobat is not opening. Adobe is set to automatically look for improved versions of itself. However, it needs your approval before doing so. This "approval" box is sometimes stuck behind your browser, so try minimizing everything and you may find yourself looking at the box in question.
Also, try saving the PDF to your computer and then opening it to read. To do this, right-click the link and click "save as". You will then be prompted with a location box, click save and watch the progress as the file downloads to your computer. Open the file from wherever you saved it.
