NAIFA-Massachusetts Member is First Recipient of the New Award
FALLS CHURCH, VA (July 8, 2010) — Adam Sachs, CLU, CFP, CLTC, ChFC, a financial advisor with Centinel Financial Group, LLC, of Wellesley, Mass., is the first recipient of NAIFA's YAT Leader of the Year Award. Sachs, 39, has been recognized for his service to NAIFA, his success in his career and his commitment to his community.
The Young Advisors Team (YAT), a NAIFA subcommittee established by NAIFA in 2001, provides networking and educational programs for agents who are 40 or under or have been in the business for less than five years.
The YAT Leader of the Year Award recognizes an agent’s commitment to NAIFA, including service on local, state and national committees and participation in the Leadership in Life Institute (LILI); involvement with state or federal legislators; participation in external service work such as charities or other entities; and his or her ability to inspire others. This is the first year for the award.
“Adam has an incredible passion for the success of NAIFA,” said NAIFA President Tom Currey, CLU, ChFC, LUTCF. “He helped transform YAT into a national phenomenon. Adam’s leadership and ability to inspire other insurance agents to grow in the industry and get involved in NAIFA are exactly what we want to recognize with this award.”
Sachs served on the original Young Advisors Team Task Force, which helped set up YAT groups across the country. He is immediate past president of NAIFA-Massachusetts. He is a multiyear winner of NAIFA's National Quality Award, and consistently qualifies for membership in the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT).
He has been a proud sponsor of Set Sail, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Network's annual benefit for the Dr. Charles H. Weingarten Adaptive Sports and Recreation Program; and has also participated for the past several years in Cycle for Haylee, a bicycle ride to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Sachs will receive complimentary registration, airfare and hotel stay for NAIFA’s 2010 Career Conference & Annual Meeting, September 11-14 in Seattle; a commemorative award; and mention in NAIFA’s Advisor Today magazine.
