Podcasts are audio files you can listen to at your convenience. The word "podcast" is a blend of the words iPod and broadcast and is defined as a method of publishing audio files to the Internet. What sets a podcast apart from an ordinary audio file, however, is that they can be automatically downloaded to your computer and synced to your computer or iPod or burned to a CD.

NAIFA Podcast FAQ
What is a podcast?
A podcast is an audio file in MP3 format. The file can be played right now, by pressing the play button or downloaded to your computer or MP3 player, including iPods, cell phones, pocket PCs and PDAs. Podcasts are distributed using RSS feeds.
What is a feed (RSS)?
Feeds, also known as RSS feeds, XML feeds, syndicated content, or web feeds, contain frequently updated content published by a website. They are usually used for news and blog websites, but are also used for distributing other types of digital content, including pictures, audio files, or video.
How do I listen to a podcast?
To listen to NAIFA's podcasts, click the play button and the file will automatically play on your computer. To listen to the audio file later, you can download and save the file to your computer so you can burn it to a CD, or it load it to your iPod.
How do I subscribe to NAIFA's Podcasts?
To subscribe to our feeds, copy and paste www.naifa.org/newsevents/podcasts/podcast.xml into iTunes, Winamp, Juice, ODEO, or iPodder.
If you use Internet Explorer 7.0, click on the link "Subscribe to this feed" and it will be added to your Feeds folder, located under the Explorer bar. Please note: This feature is not available with earlier versions of Internet Explorer. For more information on subscribing to RSS feeds using Internet Explorer 7.0, search for "feeds" in the Internet Explorer Help window.
Why should I subscribe to NAIFA's Podcasts?
By subscribing to the Podcasts, you will automatically be updated every time we publish a new episode.
Do I need an iPod to listen to NAIFA's Podcasts?
No. Our Podcasts are the same as any audio file and can be burned to CD, loaded onto an iPod or other mp3 player, or simply played on the computer through the Internet right now.
Why can't I see a play button to listen to the podcast now?
If you can not see the gray flash player with a play button on the left side, the Flash Player is not properly installed or updated on your computer. Flash Player is free software that lets you view web content created by Flash. Our podcasts use flash to play the audio file so that you do not need to download the file. Most browsers come installed with Flash Player, so you may already have a previous version of Flash Player installed. You may just need to update to the latest version if the website contains features that require a newer version. For best results, download and install the latest version from Flash Player Download Center.
