NAIFA Expands Online Offerings
The NAIFA home page has been streamlined to eliminate clutter and make room to highlight important programs and features. The rotating banner on the top of the page highlights important programs, a scrollable What's New box gives you the latest information, and large buttons provide quick access to popular pages, including 2009 Convention, Communications Corner, the Professional Development System and the NAIFA Marketplace. You can also find your favorites by clicking on the "Member Favorites" box at the bottom of the home page. He you'll find links to some of the most popular pages on the site, including the Member Locator, YAT, LILI, and Membership Tracker, and the Member Benefits Calculator. Click on the "Member Services" button for quick access pages where you can update your member information/record, access the NAIFA Staff Directory, and download a membership application or brochure. Inside pages are organized by the section titles listed on the home page: Advocacy, Member Benefits. Why Join? News & Events, Consumer Info, Leaders Center, and About NAIFA. Click on the section title to go to that section's home page, review the navigation on the left site, and find new and important content listed in the "Highlights" box on the right. If you need a quick overview, use the printable "How to Use the NAIFA Website Guide" available at www.naifa.org/webhowto.pdf. NAIFA also has tools and resources on other popular websites. You can watch NAIFA-related videos on NAIFA's YouTube page, www.youtube.com/naifavideo. Recent addition to YouTube include a three-part overview of NAIFA's Professional Development System, a 2009 Convention preview, and a pep talk from NAIFA's membership coach. New Member Benefits Overview DVD Now AvailableThe new NAIFA Professional Development System has been developed to provide members with high-value products, programs, and services at every stage of their careers. This System offers our membership rich resources along five tracks -- Professional Programs, Professional Practice Tools and Tips, Preferred Providers, Networks, and a Speaker Center. To help show our members how easy it is to gain access to expert knowledge and skills, value-added business services, and abundant networking and mentoring opportunities, the NAIFA Professional Development and Education Department has developed the NAIFA Member Benefits Overview DVD. In this new 15 minute DVD, the key elements of the NAIFA Professional Development System are highlighted using the online PDS tutorial and select sites on the Member Benefits section of the NAIFA website. Use this to showcase the benefits of NAIFA membership at local or state events, carrier company presentations, or board and committee meetings or to gain a more comprehensive understanding on a personal level.
