Like every national conference, NAIFA negotiates for meeting space and hotel room rates with cities and venues several years in advance. When NAIFA attendees stay in the official conference hotel, NAIFA has better negotiating power for meeting space and room rates for future conferences. Attendees staying in one of the official hotels of the NAIFA 2013 Career Conference and Annual Meeting also protect NAIFA from possible penalties and fees for meeting space. So, NAIFA will pass the savings on to you.  Staying in an official conference hotel while you attend NAIFA 2013 makes you eligible for a lower conference registration rate.
