NAIFA's Programs in a Box are designed to help local and state associations provide enhanced benefits for members. These multimedia educational programs deliver topics of practical interest that can be used for either monthly meetings or special seminars. An author recognized as an authority on the subject being covered develops each of these programs.

NAIFA continues its successful Programs in a Box series of multimedia educational programs for local meetings with the release of the following new programs.

New Program in a Box: Insurance Regulatory Reform

Insurance Regulatory Reform is a very important issue and member education and feedback is critical. NAIFA's Program in a Box #21, Insurance Regulatory Reform, is a panel discussion. Filmed in October 2006, the PIB features six industry professionals: John Davidson, LUTCF, NAIFA President 2006-2007; David Woods, CLU, ChFC, LUTCF, and now former NAIFA CEO; Michael Gerber, Vice President and General Counsel of NAIFA; Jill Edwards, Director of Federal Relations, NAIFA; Alessandro Iuppa, former President, NAIC & Superintendent of Insurance for the State of Maine; and Mike Hunter, ACLI COO. In a 40 minute video they discuss one of the most important topics facing NAIFA members today – Insurance Regulatory Reform (IRR) – and how IRR will determine the future regulatory structure of our industry and will impact how each and every NAIFA member will be positioned to service their many policyholders. At the conclusion of the video, the moderator is encouraged to facilitate a discussion of the topics covered by the panelists. Feedback forms are provided for both the moderator and the PIB participants. Those forms should be collected by the moderator and mailed to NAIFA. For further details, please refer to the materials provided with PIB #21.

In an effort to become more technologically up-to-date, PIB #21 will only be distributed to state and local executives through the new NAIFA Online Leaders Training Center. Click here for instructions on how to use the center. Visit the Online Leaders Training Center now at www.naifa.org/leaderstraining.
