NAIFA War Chest

What is the NAIFA War Chest?

The NAIFA War Chest is a fund developed to provide much-needed financial support to various legislative and regulatory initiatives relevant to the NAIFA membership.

How will contributions be used?

Contributions to the NAIFA War Chest build a fund that is used to protect and support the insurance advisor/agent and financial services professional in many ways, including but not limited to:

Who should contribute?

Everyone and anyone can help! Both NAIFA members and non-members are encouraged to contribute. If you are a life or health agent, financial service professional, or if you are simply looking to show your support for issues affecting these industries, contributions will help fund vital legislative and regulatory initiatives. Donations from individuals and companies are accepted.

Isn’t this the same thing as IFAPAC?

No – IFAPAC, the Insurance and Financial Advisor Political Action Committee, raises money to support candidates running for Congress. Money collected is given to candidates to fund their election campaigns. War Chest contributions are used to fund legislative and regulatory initiatives. Essentially, IFAPAC helps get the right people elected and the War Chest helps deliver the right message. Both are vital sources of support necessary to protect the agent/advisor.

Are contributions tax-deductible?

Contributions to the NAIFA War Chest are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.

How can I contribute to the War Chest?

Contributions of any amount are accepted, and contributors are welcome to donate as often as they so chose. Please feel free to send this information to other agents and clients who may be interested in supporting NAIFA’s legislative and regulatory efforts.
