How to Look Up Current Legislation
This is the third article in the series "Advocacy Online," which explains how NAIFA members can use NAIFA's Legislative Action Center for grassroots advocacy efforts.
Are you interested in current legislation affecting your business but have no idea where to begin your research? NAIFA's Legislative Action Center allows you to examine current legislation at both the state and national level. We encourage you to use our searchable online legislation library www.capwiz.com/naifa to stay updated on votes and bills important to the insurance and financial services industry.
NAIFA's Legislative Action Center features updated information on legislation through the "Issues and Legislation" section, and voter scorecards through the "Key Vote" section. The site provides you with the tools necessary to research legislation that will affect your business.
To explore various legislation, simply click on the "Issues and Legislation" or "Issues" link, then click on "Current Legislation." If you would like to learn more about how legislators voted on a particular bill, click on "Key Votes." The Key Vote segment includes votes on federal legislation and in select states.
