Much like the NCAA’s March Madness tournament, IFAPAC Madness will crown IFAPAC’S 2012 New Contributor Champion.
- IFAPAC Madness runs from February 1 – May 4, 2012
- A minimum contribution of $50 or $8.50 bank draft, from a non-contributor is required in order to accumulate percentage points and advance through to the next round. A non-contributor is any NAIFA member whose IFAPAC lifetime total equals zero or any member whose last contribution date is before January 1, 2007.

- The dates for each round are as follows:
- Round 1 Feb 1– March 16 = all states
- Round 2 March 17 – March 31 = terrific twenty four
- Round 3 April 1 – April 15 = tremendous twelve
- Round 4 April 16 – April 29 = sensational six
- Round 5 April 30 – May 4 = top two
Please note the only contributions that will be counted are those that have been deposited into IFAPAC’s Fund by each round’s deadline date.
- Advancement through the brackets is based on the percentage of new contributors of the state’s total NAIFA Membership for each round. (The count will start over at each round.)
- Terrific Twenty Four - The four states from each region with the highest percentage of new contributors through March 16, 2012
- Tremendous Twelve - The two states from each region with the highest percentage of new contributors through March 31, 2012
- Sensational Six – The state from each region with the highest percentage of new contributors through April 15, 2012
- Top Two - The two states in the federation with the highest percentage of new contributors through April 29, 2012
- Champion – The state in the federation with the highest percentage of new contributors
- In the event of a tie, at any round, the amount of money raised from the new contributors will be the determining factor for advancement.
IFAPAC Madness – The Recognition & Rewards
Promotion
Announce the 2012 IFAPAC Madness challenge in GovTalk and YAT Chat and Weekly Connections, Daily Brief, etc. Then run update announcements after each round is tabulated.
Place IFAPAC Madness brackets on the web and update after each round is tabulated.
Display the final IFAPAC Madness bracket at the National Career Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Recognition
Tremendous Twelve States
- Will receive a certificate recognizing their achievement.
Sensational Six States
- Will receive a plaque recognizing their achievement.
- At NAIFA’s Annual Career Conference all Local & State IFAPAC Chairs and Vice/Co-Chairs, as well as State Leadership & Execs will receive a Bronze Ribbons to proudly display their achievement.
Runner-Up State
- Will receive an engraved plaque recognizing their achievement.
- At NAIFA’s Annual Career Conference all Local & State IFAPAC Chairs and Vice/Co-Chairs, as well as State Leadership & Execs will receive a Silver Ribbons to proudly display their achievement.
- All of the new contributors from that state will be listed in NAIFA publications and receive a pen, that denotes their participation in the campaign. “I was mad for IFAPAC MADNESS.”
IFAPAC Madness Champion State
- Will receive the IFAPAC Madness Trophy, as well as a traveling trophy that can be showcased at each local association throughout the year be will be made available.
- At NAIFA’s Annual Career Conference all Local & State IFAPAC Chairs and Vice/Co-Chairs, as well as State Leadership & Execs will receive a Gold Ribbons to proudly display their achievement.
- All of the new contributors from that state will be listed in NAIFA publications and receive a pen, that denotes their participation in the campaign. “I am mad for IFAPAC MADNESS.”
