Medicare Advantage PlansThe Medicare Advantage program offers Medicare beneficiaries a wide range of health plan choices to meet their varying needs and circumstances. Federal law authorizes different types of Medicare Advantage plans – including traditional HMO and PPO plans, and private fee for-service (PFFS) plans, special needs plans (SNPs), and medical savings account (MSA) plans in order to provide choices to all beneficiaries including those in rural areas where Medicare health plans were limited or nonexistent in the past. Medicare beneficiaries in all 50 states currently have the option of choosing one or more Medicare Advantage health plans. NAIFA Health & Employee Benefits supports continuation and proper funding of Medicare Advantage Plans. |
