Now is the Perfect Time to Meet with your Members of Congress!
From now until September 7, Members of Congress will be in recess - that means they will be home looking for feedback and input from constituents who take the time to speak up. The recess offers opportunities to educate and influence lawmakers on issues critical to you and your clients. NAIFA is asking you to set up a district meeting with your legislator to discuss critical industry issues.
Even if you have communicated recently with your federal Senators and Representative, we ask you to do so again during the August recess. The more you make your voice heard by your lawmakers, the more effective your message will be!
To Do: Organize face-to-face meetings with your two senators and representative. To schedule a meeting, go to http://capwiz.com/naifa/home for the address and phone number of the district office in your area. After you've completed your meeting, please let us know how it went by either sending an email to apic@naifa.org or completing the District Meeting Form. It's critical that your NAIFA staff learn what your lawmaker told you.
