Congress Keeping Its Eyes on Department of Labor Fiduciary Rulemaking

The Department of Labor may have withdrawn its original proposal to redefine “fiduciary” under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act to include anyone giving personalized investment advice to 401(k) or IRA investors in September, but Assistant Secretary of Labor Phyllis Borzi has continued to tell industry groups and the press that the DOL will re-propose a rule in early 2012.  Read more
