Subject: Ask Congress to Support Life Insurance Awareness Month
For the fifth year in a row, NAIFA and LIFE Foundation are leading the effort to designate September as Life Insurance Awareness Month. Each year, NAIFA, LIFE and more than 100 companies and 14 associations join in the effort of bringing attention -- at both the state and national levels -- to the important role life insurance plays in American lives and families. According to LIMRA International, a leading research firm, 68 million Americans have no life insurance, and those with coverage have far less than most experts recommend to ensure a secure financial future for their families.
At the federal level, S.Res.602 has already been introduced in the Senate by Sen. Saxby Chambliss and Sen. Ben Nelson, and Reps. Judy Biggert and Rep. Paul Kanjorski have introduced H. Res 1392, the House of Representative’s companion resolution. NAIFA is asking all of its members to contact their individual members of Congress to ask them to support this important legislation.
