NAIC Requests Data from NAIFA Members -- Your Timely Assistance Is Needed

Reason Action Is Urgently Needed:  Health care reform implementation was a significant topic during the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) Summer National Meeting. Since the passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) earlier this year, NAIFA has been working closely with the NAIC.

During the Summer Meeting, NAIFA provided testimony to the Exchanges Subgroup on the important role our members play in not only placing product, but providing ongoing service to consumers. One of the many issues brought to the attention of the commissioners was the fact that agents provide claims assistance to consumers, resolving many issues before they reach the offices of insurance.

The NAIC Exchanges Subgroup Chairman has asked for member data on the volume of claims assistance provided by agents. Please help us fulfill this request by taking this quick survey and forwarding to your colleagues. There are only seven questions six of which have multiple choice answers and the last is an opportunity to provide additional information if you are inclined.
