One of NAIFA's most important functions is to champion issues affecting insurance agents and financial advisors on Capitol Hill. Our government affairs staff engages members of Congress and Congressional staff, monitors legislation, and mobilizes resources to achieve the most favorable outcome for members and their clients. The constituent and staff lobbying effort is strengthened by both our industry-leading political action committee, the Insurance and Financial Advisors Political Action Committee (or IFAPAC), and by the fact that NAIFA members have high-level contacts with virtually every member of Congress. Our email newsletter - GovTalk - keeps members up to date on issues of the day, as well as the steps NAIFA is taking to achieve positive legislative results.
