Action Taken: As reported in a GovWatch yesterday, U.S. Representatives Melissa Bean (D-IL) and Ed Royce (R-CA) introduced the National Insurance Consumer Protection Act (NICPA). NAIFA outside counsel Steptoe & Johnson have analyzed the bill, H.R.1880, to determine how it will impact NAIFA members. The analysis also compares the NICPA to our principles of support for an optional federal charter.
