With the support of NAIFA's professional development programs, advisors flourish. NAIFA members are twice as likely to become a high-industry earner (over $100k anually) and produce 52% more premiums in their first year alone. In fact, 85% of new advisors leave the industry in the first 5 years. NAIFA members are twice as likely to make it beyond the 5 year threshold. In June 2017, NAIFA will launch a new certification, the Life Annuities and Certified Professionals (LACP). The NAIFA LACP exemplifies excellence in the areas of product knowledge, consultive sales processes and ethical and regulatory requirements.

NAIFA Partners Build Strength and Success in State Advocacy

Having 15x as many members as the next largest insurance advocacy association allows NAIFA to have a greater influential presence across every Congressional district. NAIFA has the largest insurance and securities industry Political Action Committee (PAC), contributing $2.3 million last cycle to 392 federal candidates and four committees. NAIFA members contributed almost $5 million to suppor federal and state candidates. This allows members to engage at in-district fundraisers and bolsters grassroots strength before policymakers.

That’s why NAIFA has established the Capital 50 Fund, an initiative that calls for our strategic partners to invest resources in NAIFA’s state associations’ advocacy activity that will positively influence state legislative and regulatory processes. Strategic coordination of industry resources and activities requires targeting areas and state issues that need them the most.
